Gaining popularity for any game these days is a piece of cake due to the growing gaming community. But, how do you identify the true worth of a game?
There are many ways to find the value of a game; however, we believe a game is worth playing when it has managed to stay consistent, and League of Legends does just that.
League of Legends fans are loyal because the gameplay is fantastic. And, just when you thought that this MOBA wouldn’t get any better, Riot shut everyone up with a brand new game, LoL: Wild Rift.
Wild Rift is a mobile version of the main game, basically like playing an OSRS account on both desktop and mobile.
Is the new Riot game any good? Let’s find out.
Gameplay
If you thought that Wild Rift would be just like LoL, you would be completely wrong.
Although Wild Rift and LoL are similar, there have been massive changes in the newly released game, such that fans are calling it better than LoL itself.
Wild Rift offers a simple tutorial at the beginning that helps new players and veterans understand the mechanics of the game, which is much better compared to League itself.
The controls are smoother and more straightforward, allowing players to get used to the game in no time quickly.
The Rune system has changed a bit, and now you don’t have to commit to one or more keystones. You can also combine other keystones, which sounds confusing, but it’s helpful once you understand the concept.
Additionally, the game allows layers to add load-outs, which help with buying the items. However, it does little to nothing when it comes to explaining the proper use of those items.
Graphics
If you’re an old LoL player, then buckle up because Wild Rift’s graphics will shock you to the core.
When League was first released back in 2009, many people were amazed by its incredible graphics. However, it’s been 11 years since its release, and the graphics haven’t improved much.
You will notice a massive difference in Wild Rift when it comes to graphics. The devs also claim to have rebuilt it from scratch, which speaks volumes. The details added to the maps and character design significantly improve the experience for new and veteran players.
Furthermore, the added animations for unlocking a champion and checking its skin – are simply otherworldly. In other words, it’s aesthetically pleasing and stunning in every possible way.
Champions
Now comes the most crucial part, Champions. League has a pretty humongous list of champions, which sounds incredible, but is it? People think the more, the merrier, which is valid only to a certain point.
The thing about MOBA games is that you have to know and understand each champion’s abilities to tackle your enemies effectively.
However, the League of Legends has 140 Champions, and learning about them takes years! This is why Wild Rift is more welcoming, especially for new players, as it has 40+ champions, making it easier to master them all.
But there is much more to it! Unlocking champions has also become easy compared to League, and some people are comparing it to the Overwatch game because of the characters and gameplay.
Final Verdict
Wild Rift is hands-down, one of the best Riot games for mobile, and it’ll keep getting better.
Riot has yet to release the popular MOBA around the world, and until then, the devs will continue to further enhance the experience for players.
However, it might prove to be a bit confusing for new players, and there are similar games that you can try; for example, FFXIV Gil has similar themed graphics and game currency.
Give it a shot, and you won’t regret it!
