Apple Expected to Launch Massive Initiative to Increase Sales

According to some rumours that have been gaining force over the last few days, Apple is set to launch an attractive promotion before the end of the week. The campaign would motivate owners of older iPhone versions to change their device for an iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c. Even though the exact details of the promotion have not been revealed, the reports indicate that Apple will contact these users by email and once the upgrade promotion news are released, they are expected to rush to get the latest models of Apple’s smartphones.

The campaign may involve an impressive discount as Apple’s stores are said to be getting prepared for the high demand that this event will bring. The rumours mention that Apple’s retail management team will be informed this Wednesday about all the details of the promotion as they are confident that this initiative will boast iPhone sales in their retail stores.

Apple has already a successful promotion in place that has encouraged a large amount of iPhone 4, 4s or 5 users to upgrade their devices. We are referring to their trade-in program that allows you to get a new iPhone for a reduced price in exchange for your old model.  Still, the sales of the latest iPhones are expected to increase dramatically thanks to the event that is planned to start on Thursday May 8th in all Apple retail stores in the US. The reports do not mention if the promotion will also be available online or in other stores across the world.

With the upcoming launch of iPhone 6 at the end of the year, it is logic to imagine that Apple will use the promotion as a chance to clear out the stock of their current models. The iPhone 6 may be available in two sizes: 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches and it would feature a slimmer design, a scratch resistant sapphire crystal screen and a new advanced A8 processor.
